Genetic Algorithm for Searching Bipolar Single-Flux-Quantum Pulse Sequences for Qubit Control

Nowadays most of superconducting quantum processors use charge qubits a transmon type. They require implementation energy efficient qubit state control scheme. A promising approach is the digital circuits operating with single-flux-quantum (SFQ) pulses. The duration SFQ pulse sequence typically larger than that conventional microwave drive pulses but its length can be optimized for system known parameters. Here we introduce genetic algorithm unipolar or bipolar search minimize leakage from computational subspace. also able to find solution in form repeating subsequence order save memory on chip. Its parallel appropriate arbitrary parameters practical range reasonable time. illustrated by example rotation gate around Y-axis an angle $$\pi/2$$ fidelity over 99.99 $$\%$$ . In this paper, present results single-qubit system, future will apply developed study two qubits.
